Enjoy the leisure business region in Latin America
Latin America will continue to contribute to India’s energy security with the supply of crude oil. The region has large reserves and the capacity to increase production and exports to meet the increasing crude imports from India. South America has started supplying pulses, which India has been importing more and more with the growing gap between consumption and domestic production.

YOGA In Latin America
Though Yoga has been practiced in the region for last several years, yet in last couple of year, the kind of ‘explosion’ in yoga seekers and awareness in Indian culture has increased rapidly. Infact, Yoga is now set for promotion in Peru, Bolivia and adjoining parts of Latin America, with a MoU being signed in New Delhi in this regard recently. The Embassy of India in Peru’s capital Lima has taken up the responsibility for the promotion of Voluntary Scheme for Evaluation and Certification of Yoga Professionals, developed by the Quality Council of India (QCI) at the bidding of the Ministry of AYUSH.

New Delhi focus on Latin America
Throughout the last half-century, New Delhi has actively pursued robust relationships with the United States, the European Union, the Middle East, China, Southeast Asia and even Africa, with varying degrees of success. Yet, Latin America has been conspicuously absent from this list, reflecting the region’s relative insignificance in New Delhi’s foreign policy calculus. Signs are emerging, however, that Latin America is becoming increasingly important to India, particularly in the economic arena. Although it is unclear how far and deep that cooperation will proceed, India-Latin American relations are on an upswing. The two are poised to embark on a stronger, long overdue partnership.
